Hello everyone, and welcome to Trading Paint, the official blog home of Jerry Bonkowski and

I'm sure most of you recognize this blog name as the same as our extremely popular weekly mailbag feature that ran for 4 1/2 years on the NASCAR page at Yahoo Sports.

Unfortunately, while I was laid-off at Yahoo, I have some great news for all you countless number of readers:

Both Trading Paint and Jerry Bonkowski are back! All new and with a reinvigorated energy that brings you the same type of honest and fair analysis of NASCAR stock car racing -- and being critical where warranted (not to mention giving credit when it's due, as well) -- that was our hallmark during our time at Yahoo.

That's right, and we're picking up where we left off at Yahoo, with regular NASCAR-related commentary (I'll also throw in my thoughts on other forms of motorsports from time to time, as well as other sports, in general).

And what would Trading Paint the blog be without bringing back Trading Paint, the mailbag. We intend on resuming the weekly reader/fan forum in the coming days!

What's more, we're toying with several different ideas, including increasing the frequency of TP from weekly to maybe two or more times a week. In fact, if the traffic/reader e-mails increases to the point where it's warranted, we may even revert to a daily or every-other-day Trading Paint format.

Whether we do is up to just one person: YOU! The more of you that write in, the more e-mails we have to pick and choose from -- and that means more to publish.

So, sit back, strap on your helmet and head-and-neck restraint device, turn the key, put the pedal to the metal and let's get rolling!

Welcome to Trading Paint -- YOUR forum for NASCAR and motorsports.

  1. Welcome back, Jerry. And, best of luck with this new endeavor.

  2. Hi Jerry great to see you are getting Trading Paint back up and going. By far it is the best weekly reader/fan forum going and I look forward to my weekly fix of Trading Paint.
