Seeking NASCAR-related layoff stories

Hey folks, I wanted to add one more thing:

While I've received several e-mails already, I'm still seeking more from both fans and those who work/worked in the NASCAR industry that have been laid-off in the last few months. I'd like to tell your story in an upcoming issue of my Trading Paint mailbag.

If you wish to remain anonymous, that's fine. All I ask is that you sign your e-mail with your real name and the city & state you live in, and as long as you ask me to keep your name private, I will respect your wishes.

I'm looking for two types of e-mails:

1. Fans who have been laid-off that have been having a rough time of it, yet also are taking a little consolation in the fact they still have NASCAR to look forward to despite the problems in their working life.

2. Those former employees of NASCAR-related teams and organizations that have been laid-off, especially those that have been pink-slipped in the last two months since the season finale at Homestead. Let me know how you're weathering the storm, how job prospects have been, how you and your family are getting through it -- and how you're still bound and determined to get back into the sport again one day soon.

Let me hear your thoughts and I promise to post as many, if not all, of those I receive in the next couple weeks.

Thanks very much and we'll catch you soon.
