However, in Chapter 15 I take great exception to your description of how Mr. Grubb ended his life: ie "blew his brains out". Cruel and distasteful. As a respected professional journalist, you should have chosen your words a lot more carefully. I am willing to bet that the Grubb family will more than likely read this tribute but when they get to those 4 particular words it will be very hurtful to them. I am requesting that you edit/rephrase Chapter 15 in a more appropriate way. My reading any future articles from you and listening to you comment on the web will depend on it. Hopefully it won't come to that because I really enjoy your work. No one truly knows what makes one contemplate suicide when it rears its ugly head. Each person has their own demons they must face. And some cannot bear the agony they feel they must endure. It is a tragedy, especially when someone as young as Kevin decides to take his own life. His family will never know why and will always question. I hope he has found the peace he so desperately sought in life. My heart and prayers go out to Kevin and his family.Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08100810138050222190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510070890376946490.post-90373879896360470932009-05-08T08:43:00.000-05:002009-05-08T08:43:00.000-05:00Nice tribute Jerry. He and his brother Wayne were two of my favorite Busch Series drivers in the late 90s and it's a shame that neither ever made it to drive in Cup racing. My thoughts are with the Grubb family.Matt, NYCnoreply@blogger.com
